THE AUTHOR

Dr. Greg Adams

Dr. Greg Adams practiced family medicine in private practice for nearly 40 years, caring for patients across generations—from newborns to adults in their 90s. Throughout his career, he developed a deep understanding of the questions, concerns, and challenges people face as they navigate their health, particularly as they grow older.

His books grew out of decades of conversations with patients, especially older adults who often found themselves overwhelmed by medical terminology, technology, and the normal changes that accompany aging. Recognizing the need for clear, accessible health information, Dr. A. began writing to help patients and families better understand these topics without unnecessary complexity.

His work is grounded in a simple belief: greater knowledge gives people greater confidence when it comes to their health. Through his books, he aims to make medical information easier to understand and more approachable for readers who may not be comfortable navigating the vast amount of information available online.

Dr. Greg Adams has also co-authored a book with his son, Dr. Michael Adams, who specializes in acupuncture and Chinese medicine and operates a practice in Newport Beach, California. Together, they explore how Eastern and Western approaches to healthcare can complement one another and provide patients with a broader understanding of their treatment options.

After nearly four decades in family medicine, Dr. Greg Adams brings a lifetime of clinical experience and patient-centered perspective to his writing, with the goal of helping readers become more informed and confident participants in their own healthcare

THE AUTHOR

Dr. Michael Adams

Raised on the East Coast by a father who practiced medicine, Dr. Michael Adams grew up immersed in healthcare and inspired by the possibilities of healing. That early foundation sparked a curiosity about the full spectrum of medicine—not only the conventional approaches he saw at home, but also classical systems that could work alongside modern care.

Chinese medicine offered Dr. Adams a framework for treating the whole patient while complementing modern healthcare rather than replacing it. He founded Core Meridian on the belief that every patient deserves a clear treatment plan with measurable outcomes, rather than indefinite treatment without a defined goal. This commitment to clinical accountability shapes his approach to care.

Dr. Adams combines the clinical precision of modern acupuncture research with the depth of classical Chinese medical theory. Rather than focusing solely on individual symptoms, he works to identify and address the underlying pattern disruptions contributing to those symptoms, with the goal of providing care that is effective in the short term and sustainable over time.

Originally from the East Coast, Dr. Adams has received extensive training through two of California's leading Chinese medicine graduate programs and completed advanced clinical work in Beijing. His background also includes movement and performance science, giving him a broad perspective across orthopedic pain, hormonal health, and nervous system regulation.

Through his practice, Dr. Adams is committed to helping patients better understand their health and providing thoughtful, goal-oriented care that integrates the strengths of both traditional and modern approaches to medicine. Dr. Mike has his practice in Newport Beach, California.
